You will be fine with 35" tires on the Dana 30 axle. I have wheeled mine hard over very difficult trails, including the Rubicon, without any damage. I even hit whoops hard enough to crumple my front shocks and didn't damage my axle. I've also jumped mine a couple of times without damaging the axle.

So as long as you're not a complete idiot, you'll be fine. I was an idiot and mine is okay.

I would definitely recommend EVO c2 gussets and aftermarket diff covers (I went with Riddler).

Hope that answers your question...

the only tire that i know of that is almost right on to tire size is the new Goddyear MTR with Kevlar. the 35's are mesuring in at 34.8" at 30 lbs.

Below is quote from a MTR review.

We are told that these are true tire sizes. Testing this theory, we pulled out our tape measure. Sure enough, a 33-inch-tall tire measured in at 33 inches tall.

you realize tire height change under load right In other words yes the BFGs measure in at 34.8..... until they are mounted an under the weight of the vehicle. Side by side the 35 BFGs look much bigger than 33 MGs... MGs are crazy looking though
