I love my Goodyear DuraTracs. They drive great on the local roads and interstates. The tread is very effective off road too. You can also get them pretty cheap right now

I dunno if you've chosen anything yet but you may also want to look into the General Grabber AT2's. They are very similar to the BFG's but a believe quite a bit cheaper... Just another option. As you can see i am new here so i guess those may be a "forbidden" tire. I've mounted a few sets though and they seam to get good wear and run quite smooth.

Given the choices, I voted for the Silent Armors. If you decide on an A/T, I've found the Dueler A/T Revo to be hands down the best A/T I've run. Way better than all the other A/Ts I've ran in all conditions.

Even better than the out dated and extremely over rated BFG A/Ts.

I'm seriously thinking about those when my stock Rubicon tires wear out.

I have to disagree with you. I have the BFG AT KO 35's and wheel them pretty hard. The area where I wheel (Rausch Creek in PA) is a good mix of mud, rocks and dirt, and I haven't had any problems with the BFG's. PA wheeling isn't like wheeling at Moab, but there are some pretty good rock crawling trails there. My AT's have had given me zero problems on the trails, whether I'm in mud or rock crawling.

Yes, an MT would give me more grip than the AT's. Just my $.02, but wheeling with AT's makes me think more about the lines I'm going to take, which is just as important (if not more) than the type of tire on your rig.

Based on the above, my vote is for the BFG AT. Great on road and off road!

I have the Good Year Silent Armor tires on my jeep right now and for a DD tire they are great. They are great in the snow and as for noise... its pretty much as quiet as it gets. But it is an AT. Aired down and in the mud or slick rocks = they suck. Took her up to Rausch Creek Offroad Park in PA where there are a lot of rocks to play on and as expected they worked well. Now I'm only stock so its like a 29.5" tire so I wasn't able to get on some big rocks. Thats just my .02 cents on them. As for how a 35 Silent Armor will be I don't know.
