You pulled up a 4 year old thread. They are all talking about driveability with the 3.8 engine, not your more powerful 3.6...

If you need more info PM and I can share my experience. Just ENSURE you update your tuner via SupAttachment 600653Attachment 600654Attachment 600655erchips web site and by doing so, it will allow you to register and ensure you have specific year updates.

Now this doesn't mean I don't plan to re-gear, it just makes it more enjoyable to ride while I save up for my next series of mods. Which are dana 30 re-informant and re-gear
So it looks like I've come to the right place!

I just added the 315/70r/17 Duratracs to my 3.21 automatic 2012 (3.6L) with every intention to re-gear. It's been 3 days now and I haven't noticed anything different with acceleration. When it comes to shifting, it actually feels better than it did with my 285 DuraTracs. I drove 5 hours yesterday on the interstate and sat between 2,000 and 2,400 RPM's almost the whole way at 70/75 mph. It did jump up to 3,500 on some steeper hills.

So this is possible? I'm the second owner of this Jeep, and I noticed on my VIN log that a towing package was added after it was initially purchased. I began to think that maybe he re-geared, but after having read the last post, maybe 3.21 and 315's will work without re-gearing? Still getting 13 miles per gallon on the highway according to my dash reading.

My biggest problem being geared wrong was passing or trying to accelerate when going like 55-60

Just FYI - you're replying to a thread that has been dead since 2011. Also keep in mind that pre-2012 model year, the Wrangler came with the 3.8L, which did not have the HP and torque of the 3.6L Pentastar. 35's with 3.21 in the 3.8 was a different story than with the 3.6.
