35's with 3.73 gears
Hahahaha... You must be getting sick of me bringing up this same question.
I wonder what kind (if any) power loss I would notice
.
I mean, the calculators would lead me think that I wouldn't have any loss of power. But everybody else suggests I would
.
Oh, if I only had a bottomless bank account.

I guess all of my problems stem from the fact that I have the 3.21's, and that I'm used to it. If I'm in the same performance range as I have now, then I'd be happy. I think she performs fairly well as is. I'm used to the power, so it's no issue. It has good get up and go when you get on her, and does fairly well on the highway.
I don't see me adding super-heavy components anytime soon. Maybe a stubby for the front, and if needed, a rear bumper with tire carrier (I hope taht wont be needed though... )
I'm sure I'll question this thing 1,000,000 times more before I bite the bullet.
I am planning on running a Teraflex 2.5BB with 35" tires mounted to 17 inch wheels. I have a 2008(one of the first ones on the lot) Sahara Unlimited with the auto trans and a tow pkg. I believe this equates to 3.73 gears(I lost the original window sticker). I just want to know if I am going to be disapointed with performance and MPG. Should I just throw 33"s on with no lift or go for it??? I am on a really tight budget plus the Jeep is leased. Any opinions would be great.
How can i tell what gear i have? I have an 07 2 door X and dana 44 without the tow package and sahara wheels and tires. Is there a MPH at a certain RPM in any gear that i can try to match to see what gear i have?
the best way would be to go to jeep.com and send an inquiry for a build sheet. Takes about 2 days for them to get back to you but you'll see everthing about your jeep.
I called my service dept at the dealership where i purchased my jeep. They told me over the phone. You'll ned your Vin# or atleast the last 8 digits of it.
Most dealer's will accept any mods on a leased Jeep, but you will not get what you paid for it. If the mods did any damage (like big lift, stock driveshafts.. busted boot), you will probably have to pay for that, if they notice. Or just be like me, keep it when your lease is over.
Wow...thanks for all the feedback. I just wanted to say that if I do mod the Jeep I would buy it at the end of the lease and either keep it or sell it on my own. It sounds like 35's with 3.73's is a bad idea. How much would it cost to regear??
