35's with 3.73 gears
I have a 2008 X with 35's and 3.73 gears,I drive about 100+ miles each day and it doesn't really suck.I also find that when I am off-road I tend to use low range more than I should, but it goes everywhere I point it.My mileage is crap at 13-14 mpg but I don't care too much about that.I just got a price to install 5.13 gears and it was $1427.00 not bad,so they are going in next week.

I have the OD off before I leave the driveway. 0-60 in 2 minutes!

5.13's are the cure. Hopefully in the next few weeks.
Damn - you guys should get sports cars instead of trucks or something.
I have the stock 32's on a 4 dr X with the 6 spd....5th is 1:1, 6th is OD...and the diffs are 3.73's.
Going from 32's to 35's is only a 8.6% change in effective gearing.
I think I cruise at about 2k rpm at 60 mph with the 32's in 6th.
With 35's, that would drop my rpm's by about 8.6%, or from ~ 2,000, to about 1,830 rpm.
That means I'd be spending an awful lot of money to get back a measly ~ 172 rpm.
If I got 37's, that's a 13.5% drop in rpms....say from 2,000 rpm down to 1,730 rpm...a 270 rpm drop.
I think IIRC, going from 5th to 6th drops the rpm about 400-500...so a 270 rpm drop means I didn't even drop enough to down shift to compensate.
So, for any given speed, my rpms are somewhere between 8-13.5% lower if I go from 32's to 35's or 37's...call it a quarter to a a half shift drop.
Did you realize tht driving at 2,000 rpm in 5th at 60 mph feels like driving at 2,000 rpm in 6th at 60 mph?

IE: If you have to down shift a bit earlier in hilly terrain, its merely to get into the stock power band anyway...its not like it hurts anything.
The engine is going the same rpm, and you're going the same speed...how much is it worth it to you to get back 172 rpm?
If $ is no object, sure, get the lowest crawl ratio you can...lower gears are guaranteed power boosters...screw OPEC.
On a leased rig, there's NO WAY I'd re-gear for that little bit of difference....Hell, If I needed that much more go go juice, I'd have bought something faster to start with.
With 3.21's, sheesh, for $50 you could have checked off the 3.73 box....ouch.

For rocks...I LOVE lower gears. On the hwy - I think of larger tires as a deeper overdrive....speeding, honey, look at the speedometer, I'm only going 65! (Or maybe 13.5% faster than the speedometer says I am, and 13.5% further than the odometer says, etc...)

So - Hw many miles does the lease cover?
