37 inch tires
I run 37's DD for over 9 months now. I also have 5.13's
I have no problems braking. And at 27k miles still have half life on brakes.
I would probably do 5.38's when I do new axles, but ONLY because I will probably do 40's when I need new tires.
I also run an auto. And tires are BFG KM2's as these are the lightest 37's you can buy, and a great all around tire IMO

37s with 5.13s and an automatic. I too had tire envy, but I don't like the handling with the 37s. The tires weigh a ton and bounce more. You will definitely miss the power the 5.13s give you with 35s. Unfortunately the 35s just looked too small, so I guess I'll just have to regear, replace the axles, and install larger brakes.
37's with 5.13's and an auto. I also wish I had 5.38's. I plan on going up at least one more tire size but, not till I get D60's and higher ratio.
Power... it sucks on the highway. The best improvement I did performance wise was the snorkle. I have the K&N replacement filter, magnaflow muffler mod, hypertec programmer.
As for stopping. It stops better than anyone gives it credit for. I was towing a boat... a little over my weight limit without trailer brakes. I was cut off by a small car.. almost took out my nose. I planted my foot on the brake pedal... that was a funny experiance... the pedal lost all resitance... the computer took over... the truck stopped. I swear that this thing stopped faster than my full size silverado ever could on 35's without towing anything.
Now the front end... It's not going to like having those big tires on it. But, hey... you play you pay. Ball Joints at 14,000 miles... lol
I LOVE MY JEEP!!!

love my 37's. 45 miles daily, mostly so cal freeway. Still have 4.10 gears which are fine on the road with the manual tranny, but looking for 5.13s to get back the low end grunt.
This pic is NOT of my daily drive..

Good call on the D60. Anything over 4.88 with a D44 is to much. It turns the weak point at the Gears. The most i would go is 4.88 on a D44 and that would work fine for 37s
I also joined the 37" tire club a few months ago with 5.13's and it is my daily driver along with a trip at least once a month to our vaca. home in Az. (3 1/2 hour drive). No regrets great around town and hwy. drives and handles better than stock. go for it. Jeff
I have an 08 unlimited with the Auto trans and 37s. I drive it everyday. I just re geared it to 5.13s last weak. I love it now, I can't believe the difference. before it was a dog. I hated doing mountain passes. I tried the CAI and the Programmer, but did not help nearly as much as the gears.
I have 37's, Auto, and 4:10 gears on a daily driver. I love them and the only real issue I had was with the Rugged Ridge modular front bumper ends. At full flex they would hit the bumper ends. Other than that no issues.
