Ultimately it is subjective though, and the amount and kind of driving you do will dictate if it is a reasonable option for you.
I'm running 35's and 4.10's and it's not that bad. I've been running it like that for over a year now, sixth on the highway is not the best, but around town, it's fine, is it ideal?, no, but it's not a Chevy Chevette either.....wait, that was a Pontiac T1000 my grandfather had, same difference.

i have been running 37 for almost a year, it does ok, on the highway, and around town, but will eventually change to 4.88's, that should give the jeep back alot of performance...its tolerable, i frequently drive from va beach to mechanicsburge pa, not the flatest drive, still get around 16 mpg, staying around 70 mph, that is calculated manually, with fill ups and gps for trip.

I'm quite surprised how good it runs on 4.10, running 37"'s. Last weekend I made a 650 mile trip, at an average of 80 mph. Just turned off the O/D, and it ran well.

However, I'm waiting for the rear 5.13 to arrive (got the front), then a swap will be made.

I'm currently running 4.10 with 35" tires. Not the best for speed but livable for the two months until the new gears are installed. 4.88's should be just right.

I've been on 37's with my 4.10's for a while now... I actually don't find it that bad in the city, but the highway revs way too high for anyone that actually has to travel long distances.

So what gearing would you recommend for 37'' tires. Ive just ordered a 09 Rubicon 4dr and want to do a 4'' skyjacker lift with 1'' body to clear 37'' tires. i will be looing into what else is needed for this lift.
