3rd row seat install
what seat is being used here for the third row? Can bolts be used instead of nutserts? I would think grade 8 bolts right through the floor would be stronger, but that is just a guess? Any pics with the Teraflex bracket with seat mounted rear facing? What about seat belts?
I've been thinking about installing a single jump seat, facing in, but not sure I'd feel comfortable with an entire seat. It looks like a great product, but in those pictures it sure looks like the roll cage will be of no use to those in that seat.
Looks like in the rear-facing position, there would be more protection provided.
Installing this reinforces the fact that we didn't think about safety when buying our JK in the first place.
haha
(meaning safety wasn't a huge concern - not that "we" are not conscious of safety)

thanks for the help !!
I mounted a TJ seat in the rear of my JKU but pulled it as it was too close to the 2nd row seats and only my younger kids were comfortable (6-8 years) old so it would have only been a temporary solution. I spent some time making brackets to be able to drill through the ridge that is in the rear for more strength than the sheet metal.
I also did not like that I did not have a way to put shoulder belts in. Any shoulder harness needs to be mounted above the shoulder and not over the seat like the pictures in this thread so as not to crush the spine. So some funky role cage would have been needed and then it would have blocked the soft top operation.
In the end I decided that my family of 5 fits okay and that when we want more space in a 4x4 I will got buy a used suburban or just tow our utility trailer...
