for the most part, they are all made by the same company in korea and then repackaged as different brands here.

Question: So 37"s on dana 44s; if you DO plan on playing hard on rocks you recommend 5.13's ???

x1 from what I gather from the thread 5.38s will be the way to go for both power and durability (especially with manual). Im about to pull on the trigger on gears too so I want to make sure I get it right the first time around. In my case though I have the D30 front. What is the price point 5.13 vs 5.38? Any difference?

5.13's are as low as you can go w/ a D30. No 5.38's for us!

5.13's are more durable. 5.38's are more prone to break if you wheel hard.

Sooo, somewhat off-topic -- what's the thought of 4.88 vs 5.13 on a Rubi 6spd with 35's and Superchips tuner? Don't ever plan on going to 37's but do use my Jeep for everything including off-road, highway, and taking full advantage of the 3500 pound tow rating. I'm thinking go for the 5.13's since I wasn't overly happy with stock power yet I don't want to have it screaming down the road at 75mph and get 10mpg either.

thanks for any advice!

Default 5.38 + 37"

I love my 5.38, and was willing to take the chance with the pinion size. Time will tell but for know I could not be more satisfied.

What is the RMP difference between the 5.13 and 5.38 at say 70mph?

Who makes the best 5.38 gears?
