Ok so long story short, I can't wait any longer to start moding my Jeep. The plan is to eventually go with the RK 104 wheelbase stretch kit but its not in the budget and where I currently live not needed for the trails here. My plan is to spend as little on parts that wont transfer to my final build but still let me run 35's with some added flex. I have a 2013 2dr rubicon The plan: 18/59 JKU take offs (got them for free) 3/4 coil spacers front and rear procomp es 9000 shocks 27" extended 16-17" collapsed currie rear spring retainer kit RK front spring retainers teraflex bumpstops front and rear procomp series 98 wheels 4.25 BS goodyear mt/r 35/12.50/17 trimmed fenders and poison spyder BFH front bumper All the listed items are in my shopping cart at 4wheelparts for $2450 with various black Friday discounts Any input would be much appreciated

That looks like a pretty complete list to me. You might want to consider longer sway bar links. Also, depending on how much lift you net out, you may need a new front drive shaft down the line. Other than that you should be all set! I'm sure someone will jump in here that has done this exact lift and will give some additional feedback.

Let me know if you have any other questions!

the front drive shaft is a concern I have with the longer shocks but I will wait to see if it is making contact at full flex before I order one. Probably from Adams.

Links are another question that will have to wait until everything is installed

Brake lines also but I am hoping I can just adjust the mounting points and not have to upgrade the lines

Also not sure I will need the bumpstops...

Install a limit strap at the front differential and you won't have to worry about your driveshaft making contact with the exhaust.

I am not familiar with using limiting straps I will have to read up on it but it's good to know there are several options

just ordered the parts from 4wheelparts they were pretty adamant about the shocks being waaay to long but the I trust the info on rockkrawlers website, which suggests those lengths for their 1.5 inch lift, so I guess I will find out.

You may need to add to your bumpstops with the longer travel shocks, once you install everything and stuff the wheels up into the fenders you will know for sure.
Don't let people scare you with the driveshaft talk, it is way overblown and for what you are going to gain I would not be concerned.

If you click the link in my signature it will take you to a thread that has yet another link titled "a simple guide to shocks" that goes over limit straps and properly setting up shocks.

I am surprised to hear that 2.5" inch bump stops may not be enough, I was almost thinking they would be more then I need.

I have read your write up but the shock guide link does not work for me??? http://www.jkfreaks.com/forums/showt...uide-to-shocks

I am excited to see what kind of performance I can gain with $300 worth of suspension parts...

My last jeep (09 JKU) I bought a "lift kit" and really didn't gain any performance other than the ability to clear larger tires and not drag my belly over the rocks.

I really think my current choice is going to offer more for about 1/3 the price.

A mod must have disabled that link so you could not see another forum, it is one of their rules. You can find it if you do a little search.
2.5" of extra bump stop is likely going to be overkill. I would wait to install them until you know what you actually need.
You are not going to add any performance from what you are doing except for being able to run bigger tires and gaining a little more down travel.

If I can keep my up travel the same as it is now (fingers crossed), gain some down travel and run 35s for $300 I will be happy.
From what I have seen with similar setups the down travel gained is fairly significant in distance and performance, ie keeping all 4 tires on the ground.

Looking at your rig in your signature we probably have very different definitions of performance .

I am still looking forward to researching and determining my own lift set ups vs buying a pre packaged suspension set up. I am hoping I learn enough from this to help with my future build plans
