ABS, ESP,BAS, and TCS lights
i just got my jeep back and no lights came on on the drive home and the drive from the dealer is about an hour and that's going 65+ on the highway so we shall see, so if everything holds up i got my bonus check from work so im going to put a 1" body lift on. hopefully no more probs
My 2007 Unlimited is doing the same thing, except it is bone-stock...no big tires, no lift, just a Volant CAI, and I drove up a small mound of dirt one day at work just goofing around. I think my fuel tank skid plate may have a rub mark where I high-centered it on the mound. It gets really aggravating listening to the Jeep dinging at me every so often and the cluster lighting up like a Christmas tree, and that constant knocking noise coming from my B-pillar where the seat belt mounts. Other than that, fine vehicle, no leaks.
I got the same problem with my seat belt piller (clunking noise) did you ever find a fix?
the dealr says "thats normal" I say BS... if one does it all of them should do it if its normal..
My ABS / ESP-BAS / TCS lights come on while driving on the freeway; plus, I have a MAJOR WOBBLE
I've got a situation and I wonder if any of you could point me in the right direction. I've got a real bad wobble, and I mean scary bad (Death Wobble-ish.) Here are the variables that have changed recently:
1) front axle has been replaced with a slightly used Dana 44 (upgrade from a broken Dana 30);
2) added new front shocks;
3) added 3/4" spacer to the front ((1 per side) to the coils);
4) 1.5" wheel spacers;
5) Fox Shox steering stablizer (to match the new front shocks); and,
6) the front diff cover was over-filled, and thus, gear oil has blown out on the front driver's side.
So, after the install was all finished, I took the JK for a test drive, and, MAJOR WOBBLE. At this point, I had discharged the Fox Steering Stablizer (because several folks informed me that it is over-charged for my application.) It was really out of alignment (toe problem), and I always had plans to have it professionally aligned after the axle install; so, I took it into a local shop to have it aligned.
The alignment shop (who specializes in custom off-road vehicles and are Jeep enthuastis) aligned the JK, but re-charged the Fox S.S. (because there was no charge in it --> to about 75 psi.) I told them about the WOBBLE problem, but they said they could not recreate it. They stated that it was going to "push" to the left a little bit, but that it was all aligned. Anyhow, I took it and said I would drive it for a few days and let them know how it was driving. Well, it was somewhat of a chore to hold it against the "push" to the left. Didn't seem right (however, I have read on other sites (and from Fox itself) that it is normal for there to be a slight left "push" with a Fox Shox).
Anyhow, after about 2 to 3 miles on the freeway, at freeway speeds, my ESP/BAS, TCS, and ABS lights all go on my dash. This is of some concern to me. (I checked the DTCs, but it said there were none.) After the Jeep is off for a while, usually the next time I drive it, the lights are all off. And, city driving, does not seem to set the lights off.
So, in order to try and fix the "push" to the left, I discharged the Fox S.S. again. I took the JK for a test drive, and sure enough, MAJOR WOBBLE; violent, scary-bad wobble. Then I took the Fox S.S. off completely, and again, MAJOR WOBBLE. I also rechecked the tightness (torque) of the nuts on the trackbar, steering linkage, etc..., all were correctly set. I went down to the local motorcycle shop and had the Fox S.S. re-charged with Nitrogen to 75 psi, and reinstalled the S.S. Now, no more wobble.
I do not have an adjustable track bar. The lift is a 4" Skyjacker. I would not think that a charged Fox S.S. could hide the wobble I have been experiencing so well, but it must have been.
Do you have any ideas or suggestions -->
Can it be the 3/4" coil spacers?
Can it be the wheel spacers?
Maybe a Speed Sensor issue? Do you think that gear oil may have got it some connection and is causing a problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated! Thanks,

Do you have a trk bar bracket or adj track bar? Did your kit come with cam bolts or adj arms? The steering stabilizer is masking your problem. I would look at your other suspension componets and make sure your tires are balanced correctly. Your trackbar could be loose, if you have cam bolts, they could be loose also, say no to cam bolts.Get adj arms.
I know the steering stabilizer is masking the problem. I guess I'm goign to start with getting an adjustable trackbar, and then work from there.
If anyone has any suggestions as to the ABS, ESP, TCS lights, I surely would like to hear them.
Thanks,
Ty...
I want to straighten wheel myself to see if that will turn them off.
today i washed and waxed and detailed my JK today and when i started my jeep up to move it over to hose off the driveway from all the dirt and rocks and mud from underneith it i have all these christmas lights on my dash, like you guys i have the ESP BAS and the ABS light and my ESP light is on. i see that some of you had water in your connectors which is what i think my problem is. i took the hose to the inside of my wheels and i bet i got water in my connectors b/c sometimes the lights turn off for like 10 minutes then they come back on. any word on the cure? i did the system scan thing where the lines come up i waited and then it said done where i took the picture proving it was done and i did the scan

MIne did this as well.... Had a TF BB on for more than a year then they all popped on at work.
Wheel sensor was bad.....changed ....then a wire was broken about 12" from the sensor and they had to fix it.
They were not going to warranty at first because of the BB but I had them find the problem first . They did warranty because it was so far back from the wheel sensor they didn't think I had stretched it (which I dont think I did ).

Can someone PLEASE post a link to this thread...I can't find it on the search. I have the same problem. I went wheeling (for the 100th time), nothing bigger than usual. Now my wheel is off center and my TCS and ESP BAS lights are on!
I want to straighten wheel myself to see if that will turn them off.
I want to straighten wheel myself to see if that will turn them off.If I'm reading that right, your steering wheel was centered 'before' you went wheeling, and is now off center 'after' coming back? Think I'd check for bent components before recentering the wheel and calling it a day...
About 2 months ago I go out to warm up the Jeep and the lights came on. I have no lift and hadn't been wheeling. I had the wheel sensor code come up as well. I take it to the dealer as it's still under warranty. I tell them about the wheel sensor code. But when they read the code it says bad ABS control modual....
So they send off for a new modual. Part comes in, but the guy says he screwed up because it's a 2 part modual and they only sent 1. Again the second part of the modual comes in. They install it. NOW the wheel sensor code comes on...
So they order the wheel sensor. Wheel sensor comes in and they install it. But now they find bad wires, or connector around the wheel sensor. Just got a call Friday that the wire part is now in. Will call them to make another appointment to get it in. Like I said....this has been going on for over 2 months now. Will it get fixed this time?.....your guess is as good as mine.
All I know is.....WHAT A CROCK...!!!!
