I'll wait to see what yours look like before I order. Take lots of pics and let me know if they give you any trouble.

I know Blue Torch Fab Makes some mounts that you can weld on the frame wherever you would like.........

Why isn't anyone making a D-Ring mount to replace the front tow hooks? It can't be that difficult. I understand the crush cans would be in the way if mounted on top...but couldn't it be reversed?

I need to pull my crush can covers and look to see how the tow hooks are attached...

Tow hooks go around the crush cans in about 300 degrees of metal.
Imagine a horseshoe pointed down, the crush cans are in the middle, the hook comes out the top.

Will post install when i get them.
If you are planning on keeping your stock bumper, this won't work. I just got the brackets in on Friday after a month on backorder. While the AEV skid plate works with the stock bumper and the brackets work with the AEV skid plate, the brackets do not work with the stock bumper. You might get it to fit if you trimmed the plastic on the bottom of your bumper; however, the bracket does not look like what Quadratec has in the catalog. It is much more crude than that. Go to AEV's website and download the AEV bumper installation instructions and you will see what you get. Not worth the $100 in my opinion.

I was so close to ordering those too. I hope the aftermarket comes out with something similar for front and rear that are simple bolt on. I want to keep my stock bumpers, keep my trailer hitch open, and have D rings at all four corners. Maybe I just want it to look like a Hummer

Couldn't you do the same thing then with a D-ring...just rotated 180 degrees? My tube bumper has plenty of clearance on the bottom. I might try to find a welding shop to fab D-ring brackets for me....using the tow hook as a template.

They do, although they aren't marketed that way. They're for the PJ bumpers.

You could simply remove your bumper, remove the tow hooks, bolt these on to the same holes, mark your bumper for the portion that would stick through, cut it out w/ a Dremel or something, re-install bumper. Done!

Anybody see why this wouldn't work?

They are pricey for wht they are though, IMO. I'd just fab my own.

I think you would have to mount them where the crush cans are to get them to work. They probably wouldn't be long enough to stick through the bumper in that area. If you tried mounting them in another area I think the metal would be to flimsy.
