I actually went very carefully through the bottom of the fuse box. Well, the box that the fuse box sits in is more accurate.

I grabbed a cheap putty knife and heated the edge with a torch until it was red and cut right through those fins on the bottom of the battery tray like butter. Nice and neat and took about 5 minutes

Default I installed a Teraflex 2.5 lift kit on mine.

I installed a 2.5 Teraflex kit w/shocks on mine and it was not too bad. You do need to follow directions closely and you may have to finagle the front springs in due to clearance issues. I temporarily disconnected the front brake line retainers from the frame so that I could tilt each side of the axle down a little more without braking the hose. this gave me more room to lift the front springs in place. It is important to double check all the nuts and torque them down. I left the front sway bar loose accidentally and on the first test drive I got death wobble really bad, Quick check and retighten fixed things right up. It helps to have an extra set of hands help in the install if available. A set of frame jackstands (4) and 2 axle jackstands along with a good hydraulic jack will make things easier. I have about 100 miles on mine now and will recheck and retorque just to be sure!

Thanks everybody. I cut the bottom of the battery tray like many of you suggested and was able to get the wrench in there. Quick job once I new how to get it done.

I cheaped out when i bought my lift. 2.5 pro crap with 1 inch spacers front and back. Drives rock hard and doesnt seem flex worth a damn. Looks good and fit my 35s. Thats it. Good on you by spending the money first time around. Im buying the 3.5 aev when i get home from my rotation.

Here is my AEV 2.5 lift. Yes it does sit level. I gained an even 3" of lift measuring from the coil perch to the the lip of the coil tower over stock. Very happy with the lift, flex, and on road handling. I didn't use the drop brackets for the LCA'S. I used rock krawler LCA'S instead. My caster is set to 4.6.
