AEV 3.5 lift!!!
yes, you can run it with jks control arms but you'll want to keep the track bar and draglink flip kit up front. in the rear, the addition of a jks track bar wouldn't be such a bad addition.

My biggest recomendation for any product (not just lifts) is know what each company specializes in / is known for. Nth Degree has always advertised their shocks, coils, and geometry correction, Clayton made their name on their control arms, JKS is well known for thei ACOS and their quick discos. I would agree with the others that the cam bolts are a cheap fix compared to a new set of front lower arms, but Nth has enver been well known for their control arms compared to other companies out there.
In the back they give you both a track bar bracket and a track bar. If you go with JKS I am not sure how well these would work together, or if you could adjust it short enough.

regarding the rear track bar, you are correct that the aev kit comes with both and for that reason alone, i would say that a jks unit is not necessary.
Just for the record.... in case it hasn't been said yet..... don't want anyone to miss this...
CAM BOLTS SUCK!
Love the slalom pics
they should put ground effects and spoilers on Jeeps too! I mean that helps with slaloming a fuggin box right?

Myself and Chuck45 rode in the AEV Jeep while in moab and I can tell you JIM drove it like it was a Formula 1 car. I would have to guess we were going 30-40 MPH and taking almost a 90 degree turn.
It rode really nice.
My only complaint and I told Jim this is that I could feel alot of the road and bumps in it. But I like a nice "soft" riding jeep I dont mind a little body roll and a suspension that soaks up the bumps.
It all depends what you are after and how you like a Jeep to drive.
The AEV kit is a damn nice kit and yes I would add front lower control arms also.

back to the original post, he is looking for a "good highway ride."
AEV is the way to go. It's fairly good at just about everything. It won't outperform many lifts in the rocks, but if you are looking for a "do it all" kind of lift, this is the one for you.
I have NO financial interest in AEV. 98% of us spend 99% of our time on-road.
For those 2% or so that are fortunate enough to get into the dirt often, it might not be for you.
I know the guys at AEV and ARB personally and have dealings with Lonnie over at Skyjacker. Been a pioneer in the ZJ/WJ world, and no, not a teenager.
Hit me up on PM to flame me directly. I can take it.
For the original poster, you'll enjoy any lift, but for some of the best road manners with good lift, go with AEV.

Im not sure what tire pressure the vehicle you drove or rode in, but my jeep rides awesome. With progressive rate springs you shouldnt have to compromise one for the other. I have a Tj with air ride suspension (airock) and I prefer the AEV lift on my JK.
