Sand-blasted and powder coated.

I don't mind taking a rattle can to cheaper wheels but wanted the pintlers done right.

While it is true that a loose suspension component can cause DW the items you listed are usally only contributing factors. A loose trac bar, broken bracket or really fugged up toe setting is gonna usaually cause DW. A loose cam bolt unless it completly fails at say 40mph isn't gonna cause DW.... you are going to notice your rig pull before you ever see DW...

I am not an advocate of them, but they work just fine for minimal adjustments. Even race cars use it an they for sure have way more torque applied to them then our little hamster wheel. I would take control arms any day ofer them but I just found it interesting that everyone is acting like they are death waiting to happen.

I searched cam bolts on here and saw a lot of posts claiming they are bad.... I think there is a lot of bad information floating around... but like you said to each their own. Again I am not an advocate I just hat bad scoop.
Friend of mine wrecked his TJ cause of a cambolt coming loose/ breaking going down the interstate. F... cambolts. If you don't have enough money to buy control arms, run it without or get the arms later.Like you said, to each his own.

I understand why we use cam bolts, coil spacers, body spacers, shock extenders and wheel spacers. I've used most of these including the cam bolts in my old TJ.

I had problems with the cam bolts slipping and they contributed to the DW or its creation on my TJ.
I was part to blame because I didn't inspect them on a regular basis, but it took me over 2 months to find the problem. Fortunately, I never had an accident like
Mkjeep's friend, but its a really disconcerting feeling the first few times it happens.

IMO, use the cam bolts on a temporary basis or if your budget doesn't allow for adjustable CAs, BUT given all the potential negatives I would avoid them if possible.

BTW, race cars use them because they are easy and quick to adjust to tune the suspension/steering on the fly. Race cars are also not flexing and banging (at least not too intentionally ) like many JKs.
