It's not a difficult add-on at all
thank you! I won't be needing the jack, jackstand, pitman arm puller, and drill bits however...correct?

correct, that pic was for suspension lift but it has the CA tools on there(18-21mm wrenches & sockets)

vice grips are nice to have too

A small ratchet strap worked very well for me when I needed to move the axle a little to line up the CA bolt holes.

Huh? These won't change the ride. Did I miss something?

Uhm I have them on my jk and they've made an extreme improvement in drivability, I'd recommend them for sure

I just installed these drop brackets yesterday, very easy install only took ~1hr and I'd never done them before. This was on a 12, I had to use a long screwdriver to pry the upper control arm out of the stock spot and on the passenger side there was no issues with the bolt. You just have to lose the heat shield as it does restrict the ability to undo that bolt.

Will I have to reinstall this heat shield?

The shroud is there for a reason & it's purpose, i believe, is to protect the CA bushing from melting. Ultimately, you decide what you want to door don't do...

It's not really possible to reinstall with the drop brackets in place, as you can't get the bolt holding it back in as they are in the way. And with only one bolt to hold it, it would definitely fall off, so I just ripped it off on the passenger side. I imagine that since there isn't any plastic in that area to melt, just metal with the new brackets it is probably okay.
