Whinning Your the first person to use that description in this thread. I didn't get that impression from other posts. I think people are just sharing their experience or thoughts on the subject.

No. I used your description or words. [Quote "I helped install one and it took right about 2 hours with 2 people." End Quote] Sorry, but that means you used two hours per person. I didn't mention AEV's labor rates.

If your not interested in giving AEV any business why do you have AEV front and rear bumpers and AEV corners as Comming Soon Sounds like you want to give them business or your dollars, but hey I'm just using your words again.

I presume your comment is an attempt at humor? I don't think its relevant to this thread, but you are certainly entitled to be childish. Knock yourself out.

greenamphibious,

Thanks for confirming your desire or "intent" to be childish. It wasn't clear at first since your grammar was lacking in your post #32 above [Quote "you just got you license huh?" End Quote].

They have a redesigned version coming out around SEMA that will cut the install down to about 1.5 hours compared to the 4 that they claim it takes.

AEV has said it takes them at least 4-5 hours to do this, and for the employees they have doing this the first time they plan a full 8 hours.

I took my time with mine and did it over 2 days taking ym time to carefully align everything. The people saying no more than 2 hours probably have not installed one of these bumpers, so I would take their opinion for a grain of salt.
Did you install the crush cans? I've read the instructions and that seems like the only part that requires more skill than just following mechanical instructions.

How much additional does it take install the winch?

Did the install over 6 hours with my Dad - not straight forward, but rewarding!

The main problems were that some of the nuts needed grinding to fit into the factory mount. Some of the holes disn't align correctly & from memory other steps were fiddly. Perhaps the Australian OEM fender mount are different in shape/design to the US model, but it was a PITA at the time!

As already stated, do it yourself ... not just to save money but you will be wiser and appreciate your jeep more from the experience!
