Yea exactly. It doesn't make sense. "Make it right". Yeah, I want a free front bumper! False advertising! Haha. I'm sure they'll keep doing their thing and making money. :/

I guess I'd be interest in hearing more opinions.
Well, the OEM wheels are lug-centric (not to mention the countless aftermarket wheels that people run that are also lug-centric). I haven't heard too many stories of studs shearing off due to this design, even with hard wheeling.

Find a wheel you like and don't get too hung-up on this aspect.

I agree about the lug-centric part. It's just the principle. They charge a premium and advertise that they are different (better) from others out there and it's not based on fact. That's the issue in my mind. It's too late for me, I'm keeping my setup, I get complements on them all the time and I like how it looks, I'm just giving the heads up to the public if what their advertising about being hub-centric is so vital for them.

I agree with you 100% on this one. If you pay for something, you should get it.

Hubcentric matters for wheel spacers.

Hubcentric does not matter for wheels on a jeep. Hubcentric matters for sports and performance cars--Corvettes, STI's, etc.

In fact, as Kent explained, AEV redesigned their wheels for ease of use. (They also increased the backspacing from their original designs.)

Regarding the question on sticking to an unpainted hub, the disc brake surface is different than the hub surface and material.

Kent is a stand up guy. I've wheeled with him multiple times, and know him fairly well.

Yea I wasn't being sarcastic when I said Kent was a nice guy. He def seemed like a good guy. Once again, it's just about providing what's advertised. Simple business principles.

Okay people. I just checked their website and wow...... The "hub-centric" part of the wheel descriptions is GONE! And all it took was my thread! haha

I didn't realize it until I took the originals off to swap them for my Trackers.
