Default Aev procal module

Looking for some feedback on the aev procal. I have an auto and when I put the lift and 33s on it doesn't shift like it should.

I got mine after a 3" lift and 35's and it set everything back to perfect.

the procal will allow you to calibrate your speedometer to match your new tire size. this will help with your shift points.

I have an 09 sarhara with the aev premium, 35" MT/R's lift w/procal. Personally, I wanted the superchips flashpaq but since the procal came with my lift, it won. it does drive smooth with the procal, no more hunting for gears in the midrange.

With our first lift (3" 35" tires) we went with the AEV ProCal for various reason one of which was the early generation SuperChips didn't have the tire pressure settings and we weren't running our TPMS. We ran the ProCal for well over a year and love it for it's simplicity and it was small and easy to carry it with us. The only bit of advice I have is if you need to do a reset then reset and disconnect the battery. Also, if the speedometer is blank after programming it something didn't work (could be you didn't get the horn sound to acknowledge it or you removed the programmer too soon etc.) so my advice is to reset, disconnect the battery and start over. Really that sounds harder than it is...the other day I was at one of the off road shops in our area and this poor lady was there asking for a quote to have them install her AEV ProCal for her so she could surprise her husband and they wanted something like $100 WTF I wanted to yell over to her to meet me in the parking lot and I'd do it for free but she left before I could say anything...for me this is a great little programmer and one I would do again.

...and on top of that, the ProCal has a nifty high speed idle setting that helps quite a bit during a long pull (winch pull I mean). I used mine to program one-touch turn signals too, nice.

I recently put 33's on my 08 X. I know the procal will not find more hp but would adjusting the speedo greatly help my shift points back to factory. Right now it is constantly hunting between OD and 3rd whenever on slightest hill, did not downshift this much before adding tires. It is 3.73 ration btw.

It's a great tool! However, you can only use it for one Jeep at a time. Take a look at AEV's website and their FAQ page for some more information about what it can do. Also, yes, it will fix your shift point problem.

I run 33s on my 08 X and after driving around for a little while I bought a Procal and adjusted for the bigger tire size and what a difference it made. Got my shift points back in line and brought my mpg back up to what it was stock. Worth the money and pays for itself.
