That's interesting. How does it affect the manual transmission? I have an auto and am going to buy it soon.

I think it's all in your head, honestly. The AEV ProCal doesn't adjust shift points in the manual transmission. The manual transmission is just that...a manual transmission. It's not computer controlled so YOU have to make the shifts.

The driver determines the shift points, I don't know how in the world the pro-cal can influence performance. I have one, it made my speedo dead on to the gps, that is about it.

I have not tried this and I have a Pro-Cal. What about this idea, say you have an auto trans and are willing to deal with an incorrect speedometer reading, couldn't you tell the Jeep (via the procal) that you had bigger tires than you do and make it shift later (at a higher RPM) because the PCM calculates a lower speed than actual for a given RPM? Just a thought. This might make the OD more tolerable, but I it certainly would not be a substitute for regearing.

I have some magic rocks for sale that correct the shift points for a manual transmission. All you have to do is install the rock in the console and your shift points become controllable just by depressing the clutch and moving the shifter. Price is half that of a pro-cal. PM me if you want one.

If I buy two would it be twice as good as the pro-cal at the same price, that seems like a deal.

no... but I can also sell you one that gives you the ability to control throttle through a foot pedal. I know it sounds like sci-fi but the future is here! call within the next 20 minutes, cause we can't do this all day, and both can be yours for 19.99. Just pay separate shipping and handling charges.

i have had 2 people drive it....i dont know what it does to the computer....but it does make a difference..
