Default AEV Rear Bumper

I want to get this bumper but not sure if I need the one w the tire carrier or not. I currently run Nitto terra grapplers 285/75/17 w custom rim. The tires are still new but when I do get new tires I might move up to the 295/75/17 and don't want any issue w the tire/wheel weight. Can the tire carrier be added later or do I need to purchase w bumper?

It can, but you'll have to remove the bumper to do it.

If you have the $$$ to get it all now it's worth it... That way you're not messing around, taking off a bumper to add the TC down the road.

The right rear tank also comes with or without a hole if you add tire Carrier or not. Something else you would have to swap out.

The Duchess has the AEV rear bumper and a Teraflex tire carrier which looks great together. I think there is a weight savings versus the AEV carrier and the spare opens with the tailgate still. That is a big plus if you ask me.

I think I'm leaning towards the TF as well vs. adding the AEV tire carrier. Half the cost of the AEV and I like the features (mounts in the center, not offset; lower weight; one piece opening, etc)

Does the TF handle larger heavier tires and help with the weight on the hinges of the rear door? Probably the biggest tire I will go with will be 295 or 305 since I only have a 2" lift.

Also, how hard is it to install the AEV bumper?

That third brake light pictured comes with the Teraflex Tire Carrier. It uses the OE brake light. I added some LEDs and used it as a license plate holder as well.
