Default AEV Snorkle banger

Just wondering what people are getting on MPG loss/gain....I know there is one account of highway going up and off-road going down. What are other people's experience with this set up? I JUST ordered mine!!!!

well, when I first got mine, my mpg according to the compy said 14 and I was like but I have been driving like I always do, and now it registers around 18mpg... But I have 32's with no reflash so I know it is off, but I fill up less often than I used to... I think my milage is around the same, but once aev comes out with the ram air intake, I think it will go up some more.... Most likely your mpg will dip down, then come back up as the compy gets used to cooler air, and more of it...

I am sorry to infor you but I FEEL you are wrong. I did a 2 hour drive to have it installed by River Raider amd my mpg was 15.1MPG (yes I did reset the MPG on the highway) and coming home doing the same speed. I had 16.7MPG. I also did reset the MPG on the highway too. All driving was flat. It was a speed of 55MPH.

Also note that there is NO pre-filter on the River Raider and it is pulling colder air and is being forced in too.

im no genius or anything, but a snorkel like river raiders has to have at least the same MPG benefit that a CAI will give, its basically ramming air into your airbox, and cooler air at that.

P.S. I have a K&N Drop in, and noticed 0 gain in my MPG's. But then again, its a Jeep

the ram effect is negligible as it will suck more than you can stuff in What is significant is the temperature difference. I drive a lot at night and see a good 2 mpg increase, it makes sense that the temp under the hood is even higher.

i, also with the river raider have seen real world mpg increases. I have the k and n drop in in addition to rr ram air snorkel. It makes perfect sense why mpg would increase....as it does slightly with a cold air intake, i think it does a lil more so with a snorkel forcing air in. especially on the highway
