Go with the Hypertech, it can also be used when you regear!!

So I am getting some Pro Comp A/Ts at 305/70R16 this week. Other than the benefit of correcting the speedo/odo, are there any other benefits of getting the Hypertech with everything else on my JK being stock?

Yes, it can adjust the engine performance when running regular or super octane gas. Some say there is quite a difference in the premium setting. I have an auto and 4:10s and am going to get one soon.

So that means, although my automatic is recommended to run on regular, if I use the premium setting I could then run on premium gas (and of course spend even more money on gas)?

Yes, it changes the timing to account for the higher octane...allowing you to burn more expensive gasoline at an even faster clip!

Let me clarify. Pro Comp has a speedometer recalibration tool. Hypertech has two tools one for recalibration and their Max Energy unit which is a programmer. The Pro Comp recalibrator is the Hypertech recalibrator just rebadged. As far as I know there is no equivalent of the Max Energy.

That would be about all it did. Advance the timing to the point it neededpremium not to ping I guess.

I just use my GPS for my speedo for the time. It works for now. I am not speeding $200 bucks for a 3-4 mph difference in my speedo. I will regear next summer hopefully my wallet will be off of suicide watch by then

$200 just to correct a small difference in the speedometer?! I just don't think it is worth it?

I had teh 225/75R16 wheel package and went up to 35's. my speedo was off by 18mph fast. so the speed said I was doing 60, I was going 78. and trust me everything else in the jeep runs off the ecu's speedo setup
