I happen to have an extra Daystar dash replacement if anyone is interested it's yours for $20 plus shipping. I really like mine and I got the switch panel too, looks great.
I used a heat gun to help with the install, helped everything "fit" a little better

Default Dash Panel

Just got mine in today, and yeah it has a little bigger gap on the sides, and there is alittle space at the top of the radio, and I have the Sahara with the Compass and it was really easy. And the little trays are so practical for phones, sunglasses, GPS, whatever. I say it's worth the money.

Default Daystar replacement dash panel installed

I just installed my Daystar top dash panel. I, too, ran into some of the issues that have been addressed in this thread, but most were easily fixed.

The issue that is not as easily fixed is the "gap" along the sides.

Overall, I think it will be a good addition; a nice place to put sunglasses, cell phone, etc.

I haven't driven the rig yet, so still don't know whether things will slide off or not.

Just be careful with things sliding off of that thing, especially if you have your doors off... My cell phone didn't last two days in my little cubby on top on my TJ dash... sharp turn and there it goes right out the door good thing I had phone insurance

Cool

I just installed mine today. I bought a cheap black mouse pad, and some 2 sided 3m tape and the mouse pad works perfect. Just make sure you put the non stick side of the mouse pad up.

Default sticky pad

Do a Google search of 'sticky cell phone dash' they sell for dashboards. Cut one out to fit in the recessed areas and they shouldn't slide. As for me, I am mounting a CB mic stud to the back of my cell phone case so it will sit in my Cooltech mic holder.

Mine is good.
Mounted my XM (cause Sirius blows) on the rear vertical portion, and applied some non-slip to the horizontal portion.
For the money is serves the purpose.
I'm sure someone else will make something better soon.
