$5 expanded metal tray from Bed Bath Beyond.
Sprayed it to match the Red Rock. Lined the bottom with a rubber self adhesive non skid pad from Lowe's.

I used velcro extreme to secure it. The adhesive is designed to stick to porous materials, but i liked the color(gray) and the thickness. It needed to be a little thicker than normal velcro because of the wire banding around the bottom.

What do you think?

Also mounted my Valentine 1 above the rearview with velcro and ran the power wire behind all the trim panels and down to the switched outlet.

Also, as a side note I put the Tuffy center console in last week. I'm glad that I chose it instead of the cubby cover. It installed easy and is very convenient.
OMFG! hahahahahahahaha!!!!! Serious though, I don't know how you could drive with that red thing staring at you! Maybe if it was only a 1" high and was black and...

Ya it was cheap and it comes with the clips, I had to buy the whole thing just to get the clips so i have a brand new one just sitting here but its not even worth it for me to ship it since its so cheap at the dealer.

i just put mine in today and the only i got to be upset about is one it seems a little smaller width wise and the buble thing up in the front but besides that the color matches and its useful as anything you could put up there

100% happy here

Default Daystar horrible fit

I installed and immediately yanked out my Daystar. The color was fine, it does need non-skid rubber in the trays. However, the 1/4" gap on both sides was unacceptable. Also, the back corners kept popping up despite being clipped in.

That was the same problem I experienced with the back corners popping up. I readjusted the clips to give them a tighter grip and once installed I placed weights on top of the daystar while the jeep sat in the sun one afternoon. Since I have had no pop up issues on the daystar but the fit does have the
1/4" gap on sides. Otherwise it works well.
