I was in love with the design of the AEV, actually the whole AEV line. But I could have never afforded the price tag. I thought i would only dream.

So I was settled on getting the ARB.

But then came craigslist, I picked up a whole AEV bumper, skid, hood and hansen rear bumper for 1K. Rubicon Express was taking apart one of their show vehicles.

But if I did not have those deals I would have gone with ARB. I really wand the AEV rear bumper but I have a steel rear bumper now and there is no way I can justify 1700 for a bumper. I still need a lift and 35" tires.

I dig the AEV as everyone does but also keep in mind with the sexiness you sacrifice wheel clearance. I'm not sure if wheel clearance is the right wording but let's say there's a big ass rock in front of you and you want to get up ontop of it for whatever reason...with a bumper with no flare in front of the tires it will be a piece of cake, but then with something covering the front of the tires it's hard because you can just bump into it. I guess it also depends how high your jeep is but if you're an avid offroader I would vote neither!

Don't forget to check out MBRP. Made right here in north America out of 3/16" plate, these bumpers are pretty much bullet proof. We offer both stubby and full width bumpers with, or with out the winch option.

D-ring mounts, light bars, and hi-lift jack points are all available with the MBRP bumpers...

Doe anyone know how many modifications need to be made to install these bumpers on a 2010? I have a socket set and most tools, but I don't have a plasma cutter or welder or anything crazy like that. Thanks for your time.
Nice fit and function with the AEV I like them.

Thanks. I like your bumpers, but I am looking for something that looks OEM. I want the bumper to match the lines if the fenders as close as possible.

Thank you all for your responses. It looks like AEV is winning the vote. I like them both, but I can get front AND rear ARB bumpers for the price of the AEV front with the front skid. MY yard stick is, "If i was at a stop light and a Jeep with the other bumper pulled up next to me, would I be jealous?". I might be, so it may be Christmas before I save enough money to get the AEV bumper. SO many choices.

Both bumpers are awesome, but i tend to prefer AEV's. I wish they eventually make a stubby version of their front bumper that would be top notch;

Default Arb it is

I just pulled the trigger on the ARB deluxe front and the PureJeep rear bumper. Bryan at 4 wheel parts gave me a smoking deal for the both of them. I was going to go with the AEV, but after looking at the instructions where, on the 2010, you have to cut into the frame of the vehicle for clearance, I figured I could cut the crush cans out of my factory bumper and place them into the ARB easier. I picked the Purejeep because it follows the lines of the rear fenders better than any other rear bumper. Most look as if they've been hit and are off by 1"
