Army M101 trailer conversion
When i ordered my axle from dexter I ordered a 3" tube with 5x5 spindles. HF= 61" (should have done 62/63) SC=43.25"
on the m101a1 stock axle you can cut off the shock mount/ubolt and you can reuse them if need be. I cut mine off and had new u bolts made up at the local spring shop. Also if you plan on using stock Jk rims you have to order up some 2" spacers to clear the dust cap.

Thanks for the info, as this will help me with the direction of choosing a direct, almost, drop-in axle
The M101 a1 and a2 are very similar. The only difference that I know is the brake system. A2 has surge brakes and a1 is hand brake I believe. I have the A1. There is a Canadian m101 version that is much smaller. I have a 2012 JKU and it has no issue pulling trailer. Hardly know its there unless loaded going up a hill
Note:
Trailer currently have the 37 run flats and modified tongue (removed the surge brake & pintle hitch and replaced with a receiver hitch) everything else untouched for now.

Good deal. Now to convince the better half I need it
price shopping its a killer price, and we do need a trailer. Won't be doing any super over landing mods to it, but we all deserve a trailer.

Just let her know how you can take so many more family vacations and excursions since you will have a trailer and how you can save money down the road by being able to pick stuff up bs paying delivery fees etc. You can even name the trailer after her to show your love. Lol
