Ball Joint ?

Ok so I am curious, my wife takes the jeep to a shop and they tell her the ball joints are bad. So then they check the alignment specs and they are all right it should be, so how could the ball joints be bad and the alignment still good. I would think if the balls joints were bad then so would the alignment. So the wife takes the jeep to another Shop for a second opinion and they say the ball joints were good
Bad ball joints will allow movement in the knuckles when the vehicle is traveling over irregularities on the road. In that case, the tires will not be tracking correctly while in motion.
That's why aligning your vehicle with bad ball joints is a waste of time and money.
As far as one place saying the joints are good, and another saying they are bad, the truth is, probably neither one actually measured the play in each joint.
