Just put into Synergy ball joints a few days ago when I was getting my c gussets welded in.

If you plan of getting aftermarket axle shafts like RCV, you're going to have a clearance issue with dynatrac ball joints. That's why I chose synergy.

I have the Dynatrac's in my prorock44 and just had a u joint break on the trail. When I was repairing I had to pull the spindle to get the shaft to line up and the Dynatrac seperated after only one year. I am now in the process of trying to get rebuild parts and have waited a week only to find out they don't even have studs. Now I may have to wait another week and I am already out $200 for the parts (which I can return what is not used). Doing the math now I can get all new Synergy Ball joints for the cost of the rebuild parts,

90% of the time when a u-joint breaks in yuor axle shafts it will take out the ball Joints also. This is not a defect in the ball joints. This is why I highly recommend RCV axle shafts. We have not had a front JK break that I can remember.

I agree, but upon inspection, both upper and lower were not touched. When we took it apart to replace the shaft the upper pulled down about 1/2" which pulled the lower on reassembly.

Dynatrac
Synergy
USA Alloy

I think anyone of these are good choices and much better than OE.

After tearing mine apart and putting it all back together. I found that the lower pressed down a bit out of place forcing the upper stud down with it. I followed the rebuild instructions on the upper to get everything back in place, then pressed the lower back up where it belonged. Put it all back together and everything is fine now, even checked alignment and everything is in spec.

I would like to thank Rob at Dynatrac for his patience with my calls and concerns with the problems.

Just out of curiosity, how do you tell if they are getting bad?
