Just scuff the surface and shoot the bedliner. No need for primer unless you are painting bare metal.

Just soak the factory sound deadening mats down with water the day before you start. They just disintegrate (great for a Jeep) and use a gasket scrapper to remove. I just used 40 grit to rough up the paint before spraying the bed liner. If you take out the sound deadening mats you'll have a nicer end result.

X2. And since you mentioned they just go away like that. What was jeeps point in putting them in, if people use the jeep as a jeep, then it would just disintigrate anyway.

Not even a whole gallon. Still have a little left over. And its good to buy the spray can version for those hard to reach places. And its great for touch ups.

Go to walmart. Its over $15 more at autozone & lowes. Rustolium.

Our carpets got wet during the winter so when I finally realized the problem we removed them. That's when we found the sound deadening material turns to mush. I don't think products like DynaMat would do that if you want to replace it.
