Since this would be my first winch ever bought, what do I need to buy along with the winch? Accessories and all.

Suggest snatch block, tree saver make sure you have a couple d rings and some good straps.

You can do a straight pull with a snatch block. Just run it back to the Jeep.

I have a Q9500i and really like it. That said...

Harbor Freight has their Badlands 12,000 (Item#61256) with coupon 83939288 for $294.78

Sure it comes with steel cable but for that price Craigslist the steel and get your own synthetic. (Personally I still prefer the steel because I don't use it that often.)

Their winches are made at the same Chinese factory that makes every other low end winch. The difference, in my experience with Quadratec, is their service.

My motor went out during first re-tensioning. They overnighted me a new one. No charge, no hassle. Had it installed by the next weekend in time for trip.
