Some might say it looked a little goofy with two sets of mirrors when the doors were on, but I didn't care.
X3 for the Langes.

Can I get a close up of how you mounted yours. I mounted mine like th instructions show but I like your set up.

I took them off for snow and ice season to eliminate a possible buildup location.

I used the existing bolts on the front of the windshield, in the existing holes.
I put rubber/plastic bushings between the body and the bracket.
I put stainless nuts between the stainless button head bolts and the "pucks" that hold the arms. (to act as locks)

The mirrors were positioned "CJ style," so the RH was viewed through the windshield. The LH mirror was fully visible with the doors off, but the window frame would obscure some of it with the doors on. (which didn't matter with the doors on, since I still had the OEM mirrors on the doors) I had to line up the LH door accurately to get it on and off, since the LH Lange mirror was very close (but not touching) with the door open.

That's what I had on mine, but I did not like the way they vibrated!
So I immediately removed the driver side (never installed the passenger side!) and went with the Rugged Ridge relocation brackets. As others have said, with the RR brackets, the passenger side mirror is pretty much useless, although if I shift over to the right from my driver's seat, I can use it!

Anyone want to buy mine? I probably should list them in the for sale section and see who's interested

This is the route that I took. But I machined the ends of the mirrors so that they can fit in the side windshield mount holes.

This is on my old rig but I'm using the same mirror on this new one. Remove one of the bolts and screw this in its place

You can go to JCwhitney.com they have a large selection of them. I was thinking the same thing. Maybe matching ones for the JK and chopper. Who knows I may even build a chop to match the JK. But just not lifted LOL...

Can you still get mirrors like these anymore?
Was it a direct bolt-up or did you have to mod the base at all?

Getting any type of mirror on to stay legal is one solution, but for those with the Motorcycle & Quick Mirrors do they shake or vibrate at speed, and are usable when driving ?

There's been a number of threads on which brackets and mirrors are functional. I have the Warrior relocation brackets and wrote a fix for their shaking problem (just simply add a strip of duct tape to absorb the vibration). When fixed, they mount in the perfect position for viewing on both driver & passenger side, and can be left on all year round without interfering with the stock mirrors when you need to have the stock doors on.

Here's the thread 'Mirror relocation brackets' https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/show...+vibration+fix

The bracket is really unobtrusive and I don't even notice it anymore even with the doors on. As for VA driving with the doors off - as long as you have seat belts and at least a driver side mirror you are good to go.

Yup it is legal... just have 2 mirrors total (the one on the windshield counts) so you only NEED one for the driver side door... or door hole

on a side note, this is the mirror I just bought the other day, from Jeep... its an additional mirror, not a relocation.

will get it installed when it warms up someday

(stock photo, not my jeep)

I have the warrior brackets and have been happy with them.

One bolt moves them from the door to the bracket, no need to remove the bracket while the doors are on.
