Default snow/mud

I had fierce attitudes on my f250 superduty and I now have them on my JK. both sets 35x12.5. Overall great traction in anything I've thrown at them and I'm no stranger to snow in northern NH! Price is good and tires are reasonably quiet on the road. I would recoment these to anyone.

I've been debating whether I should buy chains for my Jeep or not. Also, if I should get one or two pairs because of the 4x4. I have a set of BFG M/T for the Winter. Seattle itself has virtually no snow but the mountain passes can get ugly. Hints?
I would try chains in the rear only at first. That will take you most anyplace. Having chains on all 4 is pretty awsome till you have to stop and fix the fronts after every corner. Fronts are a pain in the butt to get to stay on unless you take the time to deflate the tire, put on chains, re-inflate so as to put plenty of strain on the chains. Just my 2 cents.

I've been running those tires for 30,000+ miles over three years and have never needed chains for anything. If you do want chains just go for the rear.

I have Mickey Thompson baja claws. One problem is that they wear down way to easy. They are soft tires. For the mud snow and water they are amazing. Best traction I've had. The lugs are spaced out real well an have the most traction. Also they look rugged. They are directional so only one side rotation. I'd say the best off road tire ever. Not do much a street tire.

Get the March 2012 jp magazine. They have a great 6 page hot sheet of tires.
