I was going to pm a link to you but just looked to grab the link and now the site I bought from says "no longer available" and also has it priced higher than what you found. Sorry about that, I feel like a jerk forever posting it now! For what its worth, the site that I got it from is truckaddons. It looks like superwinch has a new line coming out that may be replacing it from what I see on their site.

Warn is hands down the best. Sure you can buy a Kia with more options but the Honda will out perform evertime and for longer. Get the M8000 from Northridge.

I have researched this issue for two months. I just purchased a Superwinch Talon 9.5 SR with synthetic rope. I have had a Waren in the past and it was a good winch. I have learned that if you want to go synthetic get a winch that has the break and drum designed for the rope. The heat transfer from the break to the drum can melt the rope. The Talon is designed so there is no heat transfer to the drum. I pray I made a good decision.

Most of the quality synthetic cables have the first 10 feet or so heat resistant now.

Go Warn,Ive used my Warn M8000 many times and never had a problem with it melting my synthetic line and Ive made some pretty long pulls with it.
