There is a sleeve in the top that that aluminum bar goes through. It looks like you only have the top resting on top of it, but it needs to go through the sleeve.

How do you have the spider shade on with the soft top installed? do you not use the bar in the middle anymore?

With the spiderweb shade bungees around the roll bar, it is a bear to get the aluminum bar slid through and hooked, but it can be done. I used very light taps with a rubber mallet and my son on the other end aligning the bar with the bracket it goes through, then switch sides and back through the other.

On mine, I used a hot(to prevent fraying of the material) knife to cut/melt 1" slots where the center bar straps come through. Works great! I have it off now so I can not take pictures for you.

Ya I had to undo pretty much the whole top to get it in, and then fit the rest back together. Was a pain in the ass to say the least. But for the first time I went to work with front doors off(back won't come off, rust issues I think) and the back windows off with no issue

PB Blaster, block of wood, and a jack to get your doors off. Couple companies make replacement bushings for the hinges.

Bent my door doing that method

I used that way to get my front doors off so I tried it with the rear and the bottom of the door folded

Ouch. That seemed like the most popular option from what I searched. Can't think of anything else other than more PB blaster and more time.
