Bestop trektop question
Recently installed a trektop and when I removed the rear windows the very back of the top flapped around. Yes I had the plastic hooks in the right place, but they just fall out when I hit the interstate. Did I do something wrong or a normal problem?
The small ones in the back? They go around the small ones on rear window? Pics would help.... Sometimes those small rear ones come up everytime you drive if it's not on just right. It's more of an annoyance than a problem if they come up, it's all about getting the rear window perfectly centered.

Mine flaps like crazy at speeds over 40. If your referring to the clips by the sound bar, they always come lose. If your referring to the ones by the tail gate, pull them tight and take the extra strap part from pulling it tight and tie it around the the strap so they can't loosen up. You will still have flaping issues and learn to ignore it.

OK so today is a beautiful day here so I took the windows off and went bikini mode. As soon as I hit the interstate that clips cane out and the top started flopping and blocked my rear view mirror. Obviously thats a big problem. Guess I need to call bestop
Mine flapped around at hwy speed too. I found a suggestion on one of the forums. Pull out the flat aluminum rear bar and replace it with a 5' x 1" steel pipe with two screw on end caps. Worked like a charm! No more flapping at all. Try it out!!!

Seems to be a problem with the 2 doors only. With the 4 door the metal bar rests on the roll cage cross bar so it's solid without the windows. There's a thread floating around on the steel pipe fix that 3rd Jeep mentioned.
