I have the two front pieces from a hard top jeep that works great as a bikini top.
I've got two of those sitting on the side of the beer fridge in the garage myself. They sure take up a bunch of space when you want to take'em off on (or off) the road.

I'm starting a "badger Woods into making us a solution" movement. We need something, ala the Bestop mount for their single piece front panel on top of their hard top, that can be installed to solve this problem. Come on, Brett!

BTW, Tom, I timed my removal of the Mopar Sun Bonnet yesterday (except the brackets, so it was like you'd do on the road): I wasn't trying particularly hard, and it took all of three minutes. Install would be a little slower--call it five minutes.

I just got a email back from Spidertops saying that they are working on a 4 dr model.

But sadly, no ETA. After doing some checking, they are a car detail shop in FL that is just sidelighting by making these.

So, I wouldn't expect anything soon from them. Come on, it cant be that hard to make this, its just some grommets, those stretchy things from WalMart and the material measured to fit. Anyone know where you can get the material?

I used some tarping to make a roof on my kids swingset that looks strangely similar to this top...

I would be willing to fab something up if you guys can point me in the right direction on the material front...

Mike

Can you see any way of modding it so it just rolls up and stays connected to the header? Or rolls back to the roll bar? Probably dumb questions, but I have yet to see it in person.

I love the simplicity of this. Simple to install. I'll bet that it stays tight or can be tightened up if it loosens (my Mopar top does not and cannot be). Foldable for easy, compact storage. Why is it that all of the manufacturers are offering us these heavy, bulky, over-engineered tops when something simple like this will fit the bill better and cheaper? Oh, I may have just answered my own question.

Yup easy and compact, flaps a tiny bit between 50-90 km/h over 90 it bulges up a bit and is very stable.
It's hold in place by rubber straps, won't loosen up
Expenive project: 'bout 10-15 US$
