Hey, in that second picture, is looks like you have too much negative camber. Might want to look into some offset ball joints.

There is a build thread on another forum that just got going. 2012 Rubi, 3.5" RK lift, stock axles that will be sleeved and gusseted, chromo shafts, and (wait for it.......), 40x13.50 tires! Pretty sure this is the spacer setup he is going to use

Hahaha what's wrong with running a few spacers?

have you tried turning it off and on again was priceless!

i have to assume it might have been cracked before and maybe the snow, ice, and cold caused it to be brittle enough to finally break? i dunno, just making this up as a i go but that could have ended a lot worse. glad you are ok. insurance?

There are quite a few threads on this, all breaking at the same spot at the passenger side control arm mounts. (not a huge percentage of axles when compared to all of the jk's driving around, but enough to take notice of). There are even one or two in this thread that shattered while internal sleeves were installed. The break simply moved from the ca mounts down to the diff where the sleeve ended.

This one is my favorite so far. It was stock, no lift, stock tires, driving onroad and simply running into a curb at 20mph.

I still have not seen a shattered housing that was trussed. I would be curious to see if that would help, though I would 'assume' that it would not.
