They all have the same part number. You can tell if the Trackbar has a Huge bend in it or not. If it has a huge bend in it then it is Gen 1.

Wow that's scary!! Glad ur ok!! Like Dave said jks will send u a new one!! My older style was bending, so i called Dave months ago, he called jks, I sent them a pic, and a few days later I had a new one!! And like Dave said it's super beefy!!! A lot bigger than the older style. I'm very happy with the new style, and have had no issues.

Glad you didn't smash your jeep when you lost steering.
Back in the late 70's my first car was a rusty old 1967 Plymouth Barracuda and same thing happened to me.
Luckily I was only doing 30-35 mph at the time and nobody was coming the other direction. Scary as hell !!!!!!

hmmm.... i just purchased a set of JKS track-bars from an individual. i didn't know to ask and i don't believe the seller knew to tell me what Gen the bars were. the pictures were as clear as can be and after looking at them (bars will be here this week) it looks like a Gen 1 front.

since i've had bad luck with track-bars as it is (YJ, TJ, now JK issues) and now i just purchased a Gen 1 front, the way i'm reading this, JKS will replace it? if this is an option i would like to go that way.

i see that Northridge is stepping up and taking care of this, would i deal with you guys or go direct to JKS since i didn't purchase these new? (will they honor the swap for the second owner?)

since you guys at Northridge are taking the lead on this if, in fact you are able to swap it out for me, i'll purchase a few things to add to the package to make it worth your time. need some JK and CJ stuff as it is.
