Default Carpet or not.

Well i have the Jeep leak on to the drivers floor. Dealer said I have the latest and greatest new seals with ribbs on them. So, was wonding to just pull all the carpet out!

Was wondering from those who have pulled thier carpet and have left it out, pros and cons.

So, keep carpet and find leak or remove and keep on rollin.

Alot of guys like to do the Line-X lining (spray in bedliner). It will certainly extend the life of your tub, and eliminate your water damage worries. Besides, I think it looks bada** . If you do a thread search, I kno there are alot of pics on here. I wouldn't just pull the carpet and go bare tub tho, you will add alot of road noise and heat issues.

I agree with the above. It's definitely a good idea to pull the carpet, but #1: don't leave it bare because if you chip the paint, it'll rust (personal experience from my buddy's 2006 JK), #2: if it then gets wet, it gets super freaking slippery and finally #3: no matter how much the girl digs you, she won't be able to tell you over the road noise.

I still have mine in, if it gets wet it dries fairly quick, next Summer I might finally get around to lining it but then again I've said that 2 Summers already so....

Agreed. If you pull the carpet, beeline it. Not only does it look good as said it helps with heat and road noise, and keeps floor from being too slippery
