I pulled mine out last week. I'm going to dupli-color bed armor it next week. I'll try and take pic's along the way.

Pulled the front carpet years ago. Have a couple rubber floor mats, the kind that has an inch or so high lip around it.

My top never leaked but the carpet and darn sound deadner constantly got wet from tracking water and snow into the Jeep.

Never noticed increased road noise, but my exhaust is fairly loud anyway.

Floor gets pretty warm, has never bothered me though. A/C overpowers it.

I have no rust on the metal under the mats, maybe the hot floor evaporates the water.

i prefer no carpet

but i like the luxury feel to carpet. it really comes down to how much you like vacuuming , scrubbing and maintaining the carpet

Pulled the carpet out more than a year ago. No regrets so far. I put some rubbers mats in.

I am going to check into how much it cost to lineX it all. I have to much stuff in the back, that would scratch the paint. I am also hoping, that the leak is because I am not shutting my door hard enough to seal it. But, I doubt it! Will keep the drivers side carpet out for now, to see if i can find leak!

Thanks!

Line x can be expensive. The more prep work YOU do the cheaper it gets. Take everything out but your driver seat and its just a couple hundred. Leave everything in for them to remove and it could be $500. I was quoted $2000 for entire jeep inside and out with no prep work on my part. Half that if I do all the prep work myself.

The weathertech floor liner doesn't move around much. If you notice in the first pic, I have another floor mat between the insulation and weathertech liner to help keep it in place and add some extra protection. I just put some duct tape under the floor liner where the carpet clip goes, so nothing would leak thru that spot. It's just a temporary fix for now until I can figure out something else .
