centerforce clutch!
you say it was no fun. any tips or tricks to consider when doing it? I am about to do one and heard that the header may need to be disconected to do the switch....did you have to do this? About how long did it take you?
Just did mine last weekend with a few buddies. We had to disconnect the exhaust from the manifolds and that was the biggest pita in my opinion. Had one nut that kept spinning when we tried to break it loose from the manifold. The aluminum that should have held the nut in place was mangled and we had to get a 15mm wrench on it through the passenger side. All told we spent 8 hours but we had to replace/bleed the slave cylinder as well. Probably wasted a good 2 hours fooling with the exhuast removal/reinstall.

Never had the squeak problem.. but my stock clutch didnt last much more than 2k before it blew. Was pulling my buddies silverado out of a huge puddle (may have been a little heavy) and well the rest is history.
I was at school when I did this and far from my original dealer so the local dealership laughed at me when I asked for a new warantied clutch! Although i think a new clutch was deserved I didnt get it. They wanted 1,000$ half for clutch and half for labor.
Bought the Centerforce from Northridge for about 300 and Couldnt be happier. Used the existing pilot bearing and throwout bearing from my stock clutch in my centerforce - they were undamaged.
Still no squeaks and I really like how quickly the Centerforce grabs! This thing is heavy duty and hopefully will last me a little longer than the last one.
I will ad my car was bone stock when I blew the clutch and this is what started the mod bug for me!
