I'm happy with my Airaid. Sounds nice along with the Flowmaster.

Just installed the AEM. It seems there is a slight increase in performance and a growl when you step on it. I went with the dry filter. No whining noise.

AIRAID.
I have one and LOVE it. I almost dropped the money at the same time on exhaust. I'm glad I didn't. When you get on the throttle, it sounds tough as nails.
Performance/mpg improvements?... too tough to tell. I put it on about a week after my lift and tires. I went to 295/75-16s (33.5x11.5) and I can't tell any loss in power or mpg.

I'm so glad to hear that everyone praises the Air Raid CAI. I purchased one for my brand new unlimited recently as well. I was sort of startled the first time I heard the growl....lol. I have noticed slightly better performance and I observed 19.56-mpg on my last fill-up which made me giddy all over since I drive 28 miles each way to work everyday I did not get the throttle body spacer to match as everyone said they weren't worth it and sounded annoying. I'm debating a chip but, will wait for SEMA to see what's new.

All CAIs are gonna make more noise than stock, that's just part of it. It usually should sound nice though. I'm leaning on getting the AEM, I hear good things about it, it looks cool, dry filter, & I've had one in the past and was very impressed. I had a K&N in my Ram and the power & mileage gains were good, the fit didn't seem perfect and didn't look nearly as nice as the AEM Brute Forces do.

Default Airaid

I went with the Airaid. I put one in my TJ a couple of years ago and was really happy with it. I got used to the vacuum cleaner sound it made when I got into the throttle. I put the Airaid CAI and Throttle body spacer in my JK last week and really notice a difference. Not a whole lot, but it was noticeable.
