Default Custom side stickers

So I really didn't like the cheesy "X" decal that came on my JK (took delivery Wednesday -- woo!), and I really like my Jeep Green and how it reminds me of the old Willy's, etc. so I had the idea to do a Willy's-inspired star there instead. I put together something in Illustrator and a local shop (TAP Plastics) cut the decals for $5 each. Not too bad. I forgot to take pics when the sides were clean (doh) but here's a couple shots of how it turned out:

Have you thought about putting one on the hood?

Yeah, I actually did think about it, but I wanted to keep it a little more subtle for now... who knows, things could change after a few months of ownership

The stars look nice. Could you park any closer to that other car.

Was wondering the same thing. Would have love to see that guy try to get out of the space.

Oh yeah, the stars look great.

Haha, yeah that's my roommates car -- I have one garage spot plus we have the length of the street in front of our building. We can fit two cars there as long as we pretty much pack 'em in. There are driveways on either side though, so getting out is not a problem. One of the many joys of city life

Very cool. It looks like a really clean job too. I agree the jeep green is perfect for that.

haha, in a way it might be protection against "mini hummer" comments. It's a reminder who the real military 4wd is. It's the original and the hummers are the imitators. I wouldn't be surprised you get positive feedback from older vets on the street.

Very nice!! I think it would only look "natural" on Jeep Green, excellent choice if you ask me...

Default You took my idea....?

I have a 4-dr rescue green JK. Was thinking of doing the same thing. Except putting a larger star on both front doors, and an even larger star on the hood. I like what you did though!
