Custom Wind Jammer - Attaching Windows
I was thinking about it. After work today, I will go to a fabric shop to see if they have the thermal tape (which I am sure they do) and pick up the strapping I need to velcro the jammer around the roll bar. I'll get home, continue to sew up the project and test out the thermal tape on some scrap pieces. If it doesn't turn out well, I'll go to the upholstery shop nearby and have them do it.
Man... I sound like a chick. "I am going to skip my way to the fabric shop so I can hurry home and finish sewing."

So the project is almost completed. I am waiting to get in the door surrounds to finish up the final cuts. I put it on the JK and looks awesome. Below you will see the blueprint and a picture of what I have done so far. In the picture you will see a made a velcro'd slit for the seat belt. It will be 99.8% sealed up.

lol. This actually took me many hours to do, for I am not a professional seamstress. Originally, I thought to make these and sell 'em, but it is a lot of work. If anyone is interested, I ordered the exact material and tinted window material from b-dco.com for about $175 with shipping. The material is called black sailcloth. I got 2-1/4 yards and a sheet of the tinted material.
Did you have to take it there? We all do custom work on our JK's, some that may involve sewing and/or other girlie activities. I am proud of my work and I think they look good as well. Once I get my surrounds in, I will upload some pics of it installed.
See "smiley face" JOKING!.............! Just adding to your already posted reference,
But the defensiveness about my reference is making me wonder......

Its holding up fine, but I havent been using it lately. Ive been running with the freedom panels only lately. Have been thinking of getting a regular safari for the hot summer months. I will have to put the mesh back on for some real hot days to see if its enough.
