That was the original idea, but realized there would be a blind spot.
Tall side windows = no blind spot

Your windjammer is definitely better than bestops. You actually seal everything up from the elements. It's perfect when you need to haul something home in the back that is too big to have the top on or to look like a scrambler.

WOW
That looks like it turned out great.
So you are using the door surrounds?
Did you sew a plastic L tot he jammer to work like the regular side panel windows?

My Windjammer is being delivered this afternoon, ironically, my Duster which should have been here first isn't coming in until next week, but I was wondering if you'd planned on doing an actual write up of the steps involved in making such a great Windjammer? I can't be the only one who might like to attempt it (and by I, I actually mean have my girlfriend as she's the one with the knowledge of the sewing machine). It definitely would be great to have an actual explanation in detail of how you sealed the window to the fabric, etc. And while your cost for material alone is greater than the cost of the Bestop version, frankly it looks very much worth it to me, to have it sealed.

PS: If you get sick of yours or want to try a new design I'll gladly buy that one. lol

PPS: If I do have my girlfriend attempt it, do you think that making the main back window the same height (essentially making it come down 5") as the side windows would work, have any effect on the structural integrity, etc? Definitely wouldn't want it getting blown out at highway speed.

Ok just got my Bestop one and now having looked at it, I can say 1) I'd gladly pay double what I paid for it for the custom one in this thread.
and
2) Where's the tinted window? It's clear and I can't see any real difference between it and one for a 2 door (i'm sure there are some though). Mainly I hate that it's not tinted like the rest of my windows, that's pretty lame.

I really like that design as well. I currently have a WindJammer on order from Bestop and I have no idea when it is going to get here. I would definitely go for Simon's design over Bestop's.

Do you think it's possible to do something like this behind the front driver/passanger seats ?
