I'm wanting to install my Uniden 980 in the dash, below my single din stereo. I was messaging back and forth with a member here who said he would get me a parts list, saying the right products will make a huge difference. From what I can tell, that member has been offline for a few months and I'm getting ancy to start. Here's what I have/know so far: 1) have double din mount 2) know I'll need some bondo If anyone knows what I need to mount the double din to the dash bezel, please let me know. From all the posts I've searched I haven't found a list of what materials to use. Thanks in advance. Sent from my iPhone using JK-Forum

Yeah, his thread is what made me want to do it. However, his radio is smaller than mine. I believe it was darkknight1999 that made me want to do it where it looks factory. His setup is with a Uniden 980 as well. He was going to get me a materials list but went MIA in the last month or so.

Are you wanting the parts list that DK used for the buss, and the relays, wires, shrink, tangleless female terminal and connectors? it looks like he made the dash brackets and custom molded many things. found it on another forum pm me and i show you where i dont want to piss of the natives by posting other JK forum threads....unless its cool doing that?

IMO his set up is the best "poor mans" spod Iv seen, and just as clean if not cleaner....

What I'm looking for are the materials to put the cb and stereo in the dash together with the end result looking factory. I already have the wiring in the jeep from my old cb unit. I will be "welding" the bezel and din mount together and was told the right materials make the difference between success and failure (don't want to be on a washboard and have it come apart). What I'm waiting on, or was waiting on, is the specific brands/types/etc to do this.
