ddm hid lights!!
DDM kits are pretty good for the price. About a year ago and further past there shipping practice horribly sucked... if you ordered a few kits at once they would just toss it all in a box and send it to you so you have to spend the time thinking what you even have and what bulb is what kelvin and what type. Really annoying. My last order from them actually had everything labeled which was a first.
So far I haven't had anything issues with the ddm kits. I've either installed or helped install about 12 kits and not one flickers or does anything funky. I've had several different kits in the past which all ended up having issues anywhere from a month to a year after install, all of which are 4-8x the cost of the DDM kits. These guys are like the cheapest on the market so you can't really go wrong with it if you want some HID's. I just hope there labeling of the ballasts/harness/bulbs like i got last time is common practice now as that was there biggest short fall.
If you aim your headlights correctly its not much of an issue running the HID's in reflectors. Ideally they look and perform the best in projectors as the reflectors waste a lot of light. After the lift I would get flashed literally by every second vehicle on the road. After adjusting them with the instructions on project-jk I haven't got flashed once since I put them in the Jeep. I have 4300k 33w in the headlights, 4300k 55w in the windshield lights, and 3000k 33w in the fog lights. (I am guessing at the wattage, I think there kits were 33w normally but could be a few more/less)

I swear by DDM. This is the third vehicle I have used their products on and they work flawlessly.
I have the 35w 5000K H4 biXenon in my Hella Light housings. I have them aimed down a bit and there is no glare at all from a distance, but as I get closer... it will glare like a mofo.
I live out in the country so I don't blind a lot of people ha. If I lived in the city, I would retrofit or run halogens.
