I removed the trackbar tonight and here is whay I found, I hope this is what caused my death wobble. I measured the od of the bolt on both ends and the ID of the bolt holes for the trackbar and they measure.

OD Bolt frame mount .545
OD Bolt axle mount .545

ID frame mount .565
ID axle mount .621

Would the oversized hole on the axle mount be the reason for my death wobble or is this normal. You can see where the bolt has moved around on the mount. Do I need to have some washers welded to the bracket?

Planman, your post on death wobble has been a life saver for me. The pictures of the parts was the best part for me, before the picture I had to look at the instructions from rough country on the names of the parts.

So I would like to say -------------thank you---------------

Is there any certain kind of washer that needs to be welded on?

Should I get a brace for the track bar bracket and a adjustable track bar? If so what do I need? I would like to fix it right the first time.

I am looking at getting a adj trackbar and a new steering stab?

1. I am thinking about the ough CountryDual RCX Steering Stabilizer
2. I am looking at the jks and teraflex monster trackbars. Which is the best?
3 I am also looking at the Currie CE-9807FTBK Front track bar relocator kit, but I have been unable to find install instructions. Does anyone have the instructions laying around?

Had the washers welded on the trackbar axle bracket today and it did not fix my death wobble. Back to square one.

Could this DW be caused by a possible tire with separated belt.

Anything is possible. I did rotate the tires and the problem stays in the front end, it appears to start on the front right side

My wife has taken ours back to the shop and they put it on the lift and loosened all the bolts then put it back on the ground and re-tightened them back to Specs. They aligned it and rotated the tires and still have DW. The only thing I have left to do is put new wheels and tires on it.

I got the teraflex monster trackbar from UPS and started installing it today. I went ahead and bought a pitman arm puller so I could go back to stock on it and the drop trackbar bracket. It got dark before I had a chance to center the steering wheel so I will finish it tomorrow.

While I was under the jeep I noticed the bottom passenger front shock looked funny. When I removed the shock I found the metal sleeve that is in the bushing was crushed. I thought this was kinda odd since I torqued it to what the instruction manual said. So now I have to see if I can find a replacement tomorrow.
