Not to hijack, but will all current Dana 44 diff covers fit the JK (front and rear on a Rubicon)?

Stock, both my front and rear track bars touched the upper fins on my RockCrawler covers. With 4" lift, the front is clear, but the rear still touches the upper fins.

I should add that they do not make contact while driving on-road, only when getting flexed up.

That's what I needed to know. Thanks Phil.

I went to my local muffler shop and had them cut out/off my oem muffler, and installed a small Magnaflow under the drivers area, and then welded an extension tailpipe on ..About 8 more ponies That and if you do a air box kit.. (I put in an AEM).. even more ponies.. You can defiantly tell the difference, and get better mpg. See my gallery pic's and type in Magnaflow in the search thread to see all the posts and pic's regarding this mod.. Good Luck..

On the subject of covers, I have a question.
The 44 on the frt is a HP. Why does it look like it has a low pinion cover on it?

I have a HP cover off a ford axle and the fill hole is higher.

I'm really thinking about this as well, but I think I'll end up going with Rock Rings. No worries about fluid level, and no need to drain, re-fill.

you need to change your differential fluid every now and then anyways. When I drained mine it had a lot of slush. Replacing it with the synthetic is always a nice upgrade as well. Go with amsoil tho, stay away from the royal purple junk. :toung:

Will the Warn Diff skid plates work with aftermarket upgraded Diff covers? Specifically the Dynatrac, Rockcrusher or Solid Diff covers?
